GateGuru in-airport-guide iPhone app has added top Canadian airports as well as London’s Heathrow Airport. These airports join the top 86 U.S. airports that were already featured in the GateGuru database. With the app, users gain instant access to all available food, shops and service amenities within any covered airport. The application provides the exact location of each amenity, as well as helpful reviews and photos from experienced travelers. Users of GateGuru can bookmark favorite airport amenities for future reference and update Twitter and Facebook social networks so friends, family and colleagues are up to speed on their travels. GateGuru also includes a “High Flyers” leaderboard, which gives users the opportunity to become “Captain” of an airport. Users earn points and other perks as they engage with the application during their travels and contribute to the GateGuru community. GateGuru, which launched in December 2009, covers more than 8,000 amenities across approximately 100 airports in the U.S., Canada and London.
